A high powered delegation from the UAE to Fiji arrived into Nadi today from Abu Dhabi and were given a traditional Fiji ceremony of welcome at the Marriot Hotel.

The delegation is led by UAEs non-resident Ambassador to Fiji, H.E. Saleh Al Suwaidi.

The delegation also comprises H.E. Salem Al Neyadi and team from the Court of the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, and a two member team from the Emirates Red Crescent. 

The delegation was received at the Nadi International Airport by Permanent Secretary Shaheen Ali and Fiji's Ambassador to the UAE, HE Kamlesh Prakash. 

The delegation will visit schools affected by tropical cyclone Winston in the Western division and explore business opportunities in tourism and agriculture amongst others. The delegation will also make a courtesy call on His Excellency the President tomorrow. The delegation is in Fiji for a week and will announce special assistance from the UAE to Fiji before they depart.
